1. An inground basketball hoop requires more effort to install than a wall-mount basketball hoop or portable basketball hoop, but the payoff is greater stability and durability.
2. Like any basketball hoop, you'll have a choice of basketball backboard materials, including tempered glass, acrylic, and fiberglass backboards.
3. Our in ground basketball systems are available in fixed basketball goals and adjustable basketball hoops. Most adjustable inground basketball hoops cost more, but they offer greater versatility.
4. Choose a tempered glass basketball backboard width based on your budget and level of play. The bigger the acrylic basketball backboard, the closer you will be to true competition-level play.
5. Inground basketball goals are installed by securing support poles into the ground using concrete. The amount of concrete necessary depends on the size and quality of the Spalding basketball hoop.
6. Inground basketball goals are available in standard and bolt-on varieties.
7. With standard inground basketball goals, the basketball pole itself is secured in concrete, which is highly stable but virtually fixed in place.
8. A bolt-on inground basketball hoop attaches to an anchor, which is secured in concrete. The pole and hoop can be detached and moved.
9. A residential inground basketball hoop is fairly easy to install, but if you're not familiar with mixing and pouring concrete, we recommend hiring a contractor.
