This set includes a 48-inch wide backboard made of clear polycarbonate, a heavy-duty Pro Slam Breakaway rim, and an all-weather nylon net. The backboard is mounted on a sturdy 1x1-inch steel frame and also features paddling along the bottom, corners, and lower sides. This basketball hoop will attach to any universal bracket- whether pole- or structure-mounted.

    This was a replacement for a 12 year old board. The construction and appearance is fine but the board makes a thumping noise when the ball hits it. My daughter even brought it to my attention. It functions fine.

    The previous board was thicker so it absorbed the sound differently.
