Backboard, Rim, Net, Pole, Ground sleeve, Height adjustment system
The Spalding In-Ground 44-inch Basketball System is ready to take your game to new heights. This adjustable height basketball system includes a 44-inch wide polycarbonate backboard, which is clear like glass without the added expense; solid steel Slam Jam breakaway rim to withstand aggressive play; 3-piece in-ground pole and ground sleeve; a height adjustment pin system (see Assembly Instructions for diagram and details); and an all-weather nylon net.
Even once you've secured this hoop in place, you've got plenty of options. You can easily adjust the height from 7.5 to 10 feet to accommodate players of all ages and skill levels. And even if you're contemplating a more permanent adjustment, like moving, the ground sleeve makes it easy to remove your basketball system and take it with you.

Comments about Spalding Inground 44in. Polycarbonate Basketball System:
We put the hoop up for our grandkids. The previous one we had was a piece of junk, but this one is awesome and alot more sturdy for 7 boys, ages 14 down to 5.
Service and delivery comments:
Product was here when they promised it would be and customer service are very helpful and available, imagine that!

Comments about Spalding Inground 44in. Polycarbonate Basketball System:
Per installation instructions the pole is to be filled with ~500lbs of concrete,... the diagram in the directions is laughable. Other than incredible challenge presented by forcing large amounts of concrete into the ~12' pole this is a fine product.
Wondering if the other Reviews that mention "blowing in the wind" filled the pole with concrete. Is now,... solid as a rock. Awful/Silly design and expected installation method though.

Comments about Spalding Inground 44in. Polycarbonate Basketball System:
The product is nice, did not take too long to build. The hoop is not very easy to adjust but not hard either, just a pain. The hoop spins and is getting annoying. Still good for the price.

Comments about Spalding Inground 44in. Polycarbonate Basketball System:
This item is sturdy and useful for casual games. My only issue is that the round ground sleeve allows the system to spin during windy conditions. (Even a slight breeze causes it to move from the point at which you have set it. You have to spin it back to where you want it prior to each use.)
