You can practice your jump shot right after you park your car thanks to the Spalding 8839R Universal Adjustable Basketball Backboard Mounting Bracket. The bracket adopts backboards to 3.5 inches diameter round poles, the roof, or wall. It fits all Huffy Sports and most Spalding residential backboards up to 48 inches. The system offers a 3 foot height adjustment in 6 inch increments. Provides approximately 3 foot of offset from pole/wall.

I bought 2 of these for my daycare gym. Having to use both backboard and bracket manuals to install was tough especially when 1 whole bag of nuts and bolts was missing. Had to rob peter to pay paul. Otherwise it is an OK product.

This is a very good product that I recommend over the ~[$] units. It has options for roof, wall or pole mounting. The installation directions were incomplete. They need to explain how to physically attach it to your roof with lag bolts. Also, you may want to modify it by drilling an extra set of two holes near the base of the mount, near the edge of your roof, to make it more rigid. I rcommend doing this, as I did.

It is a bit pricey but it is very sturdy. It gives you approximately one foot of manuverability in which to raise or lower the basket. I would recommend it.
