Comments about Spalding Basketball Backboard U-turn Lift System:
I was wanting to get my son & 2 grandsons a new basketball setup, but I was looking for a way to use existing pole that was concreted in. When I found this I was like elated that I actully found something that not only would work but also had the height ajustment. I used this with the 52" spalding acrylic backboard & slam rim from here & and it is a perfect match, It is solid, heavy duty & looks great. great for son to play hard on or lower & grandsons are having fun. height ajustment when mounting could have better instructions, but we worked it out ourselves.

Comments about Spalding Basketball Backboard U-turn Lift System:
I mounted this so my grandkids could have a hoop to practice on. We live in Indiana so every barn MUST have a backetball goal.
This one is adjustable height so the youngest can shoot with proper form and the adults can play on a regulation height.
As we put in the last two bolts of the backboard all three grandkids were standing there holding a basketball ready to try it out! It was great!

Comments about Spalding Basketball Backboard U-turn Lift System:
This bracket is made with a higher grade steel than I expected. We have a 60" backboard that is manufactured for wider bracket arms but we did a bit of welding to compensate so we should be good.

ok, i just want to review and say when hanging the Spalding U Turn Bracket Plate Make The Bottom of the bracket plate atleast 90 inches (7 1/2 feet) from ground level . You could increase this to 96 inches (8ft) to allow it to go a bit above ten feet . [...]

Comments about Spalding Basketball Backboard U-turn Lift System:
We installed this lift system with the Spalding 52" acrylic backboard and it works great. We actually ordered longer "U" bolts from a 3rd party and installed this on a 4x6 wood post for added stability. There is still some wobble, but it is not enough to worry about. My only complaint and the reason this review is not 4 stars is that the instructions did not specify the exact height of the installation of the lift system to get the rim at 10 feet when fully raised. Therefore, once complete, ours would have been about 11.5 feet when fully raised, and with the backboard and rim fully assembled on the pole it will be very difficult to change the height of the system. The instructions are very poor. The system is very well construced and relatively easy to assemble even with bad instructions.
