The Spalding 54 Inch Acrylic Portable Basketball Hoop System combines high quality construction with super-easy portability and all-weather materials to give you a goal that works... well... anywhere. Use it in the driveway for a casual pick-up game, or in the gym for serious team drills. This portable system is built to withstand the toughest slams and the most intense free throws - again and again.

The main frame of this unit is comprised of a 3.5-inch diameter three-piece round steel pole, which breaks down and sets up quickly and easily. The pole supports the 54-inch wide acrylic backboard, which has the look and feel of pro-style glass boards, and offers great rebounds as well as durability and strength (thanks to a steel frame structure). Adjust the height of the board via the built-in Screw Jack system, which is simple to operate and has a removable handle to prevent tampering. The playing surface can be set in infinite increments between 7.5 and 10 feet according to the height and skill level of the players.

This goal system comes complete with an Arena Slam breakaway rim, designed to flex under pressure to relieve stress on the backboard and help prevent injury. The rim is wrapped institutional-style and supported by steel braces, and uses double-compression springs for the ultimate bounce-back.

Installation is easy: just fill the included 40-gallon base with sand or water when you're ready to play, and the goal will be totally stable and safe. Empty it when it's time to move on; it's lightweight and mounted on two wheels for total convenience.
