Spalding iHoop 54 inch Portable Basketball System

Here's a whole new take on a basketball goal! The Spalding iHoop Portable Basketball System pairs two elements of a fantastic afternoon: basketball and music. Great for games, high-energy practices, or amateur play, this portable goal system is durably constructed and has a built-in sound system all its own.

A fully integrated 2.1 stereo sound system is built into the base of the iHoop. Designed for use with most iPods (30-pin port) or non-iPod MP3 players, the system is officially licensed by Apple and Made for iPod Certified. A mesh suspension cradle suspends your iPod/ MP3 player, holding it in mid-air to prevent jarring and shaking. The cradle is attached to the hoop base via stretchable cords, which absorb shock. Two 3-inch full range speakers are mounted on the backstop near ear level, and are protected by high-impact ABS grills. A 5-inch subwoofer is built into the base. The system is easy to use: just connect your iPod to the 1/8-inch mini plug connector, and place it in the storage compartment, which is located in the center of the backstop. The access panel door is made from impact-resistant ABS plastic, and five built-in easy-access buttons let you control the music without having to remove the iPod during game play. Marine Grade outdoor audio components are used throughout, making this sound system completely weatherproof.

A 54-inch wide backboard made from .25-inch tempered glass is enclosed in a steel frame for the utmost durability. It supports an Arena Slam breakaway rim that's designed to flex when pressure is put on it, relieving stress on the backboard and making it safer for those players who just gotta show off their slam dunks. A durable two-piece 4-inch steel pole supports the backboard and is adjustable via the Screw Jack lift system, so you can set the height of the playing surface anywhere between 7 and 10 feet. You can also remove the Screw Jack handle to prevent tampering between adjustments.
